marusawa is a MADE IN JAPAN knit-scarf brand. Its materials are chosen from various novelty yarns of SAWADA CO. LTD., which established a half-century ago.

Our knit-scarf is made out of fine technique that skillful artisans set up bobbins called "bobbin lace".

Bobbin lace technique evolved in 1520s’ in Europe.
Artisans make patterns with yarns of each bobbin crossing by hands.

In the 19th century, machines superseded the craftworks in Europe.
In 1929, the first bobbin lace machine arrived in Japan.
Japanese started putting new technology into the machine,
which helped developing original technique in the present.

We would like to introduce the very fine quality with marusawa knit-scarf.
